Iwanttobeanofficer2019, I am confused. You joined Sunday and have posted 28 times since then with several inconsistencies from your original post.
In your initial post you said you are top 10% of your class and recently that has been upgraded to top 5%.
In your initial post you said you had an ACT/SAT equivalent of 1300 and recently that has been downgraded to a 1220-1260.
In your initial post you claimed to have a nomination from your congressman and later posted that you would be notified in TX later this month.
Your initial post states that you had a BGO Interview that went well, passed your DODMERB, but had not taken the CFA.
I'm not looking to badger you, just think you'll get more use and assistance from this board if you are honest, consistent, and are really seeking help and not just waiting to hear what you want to hear.
The CFA is a biggie. Have you been preparing? You were concerned about only being able to do 2 pull-up. There was great advice offered from several posters on how to improve on that. How is that going?
You were also given advice regarding the lack of team sports. The USNA Class of 2018 had 90% Varsity Athletes. Perhaps you can join track this spring? Try javelin, discus, shot put, etc...?
Folks here are extremely positive and encouraging. People will tell you the only way to surely not get in is to not apply. There seems to be a bit of fuzziness as to your standardized test scores, but they seem at best on the low end of the middle 50th percentile.
Look for and promote a compelling reason for the USNA to admit you. You said you are from a "minority school". What exactly does that mean? Can you use that to your advantage? You said that you are part White, Native American and Middle Eastern. That seems pretty unique to me. Your JROTC commitment and success is also to be commended.
IMO, unless you're looking to retake the ACT/SAT your past scores and their conversions are not particularly useful to furthering your cause.
I hope you kick butt on the CFA and I look forward to hearing the outcome of your application process.
