Senator Burr Nominations (NC)

Well, the good news is Burr, from what I have been told, is the hardest one to get an interview with. The selection pool is much smaller, so you have a better chance % wise of getting one from him than from Hagan. Of course, if you had lived in Fox's congressional district you would have been guaranteed one as they didn't even have enough applicants for any of the branches! The interviews were apparently quite laid back and informal.

Hagan had over 400 apps for her SA slots. Don't know how many Burr had but he interviewed 30 for his USAFA nomination slate. Should hear results by mid week.

DD got an email today simply stating Senator Burr is nominating her to the Air Force Academy and the nomination will be turned in to USAFA.

Good luck to all that interviewed!

Congrats to your DD. Where do you live in NC?

Same here for the USAFA! We live in Mecklenburg County.

Does anyone know if Sen. Burr sends out notification if not given nomination? I am seeing posts about emails affirming nom but DS has not heard either way.

So your D got nom from Burr and Hagan for AFA? I guess that answers the question as to whether the offices contact each other about noms given.
