Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Here are my stats:

I applied for a NROTC scholarship in early June of 2014 (and had everything turned in by Early August) for the academic year Fall 2015.
I applied for a major in nuclear engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology and North Carolina State University.
It is now February and I was hoping to hear something about the scholarship, which has brought me to these forums.
SAT: 1830 (650 Math/640 Eng)
ACT: 26 (27 Math/22 Eng)
GPA: 3.985 (Unweighted) AP and Full Honors classes with 1 year of dual-enrollment
Am the current Battalion Commander of an AJROTC Battalion, previously the Battalion Executive Officer.
I am an Eagle Scout.
I feel like I had an excellent interview, and the officer told me he felt like I was very qualified and he would write a good recommendation.
Sports: Varsity Cross Country(2 years), Varsity Raiders(3 years), Varsity Drill/Color Guard(4 years), and Varsity Rilfery(3 years)
Clubs: NHS(Secretary), SNHS, BETA, and FBLA

Another question I had was if this was a big year for applications...
Thanks for any information anyone can provide any assistance.

Since there are people on this forum who have gotten the "we are sorry..." notices on their portals....at this point no news is good news. I can't really speak to your stats as we don't really know what they are looking for, what holes they need to fill in battalions, etc. You appear to have a well rounded resume. Your ACT is a bit low but maybe the SAT numbers are better (DS used ACT). At this point there is nothing else you can do but wait.

Good luck!

I applied last year with similar stats to you and did not receive a scholarship. I had slightly higher test scores and 3 varsity sports, one of which I was a captain, along with nhs and a few school clubs, but the navy is really stressing academics above all else.
With all of this in mind, I was able to enter nrotc as a college programmer this year. I'm still waiting to hear about a scholarship decision like you are, but no matter what happens, hold your head high and preserver. My units CO told me that next year the scholarship selection process is changing and that the boards will be selecting more college programmers than ever before. Best of luck to you in your efforts!
