Alabama at 58

Congrats. I also like it when the break it down and say but so-and-so has the best engineering school and such and such has the best overall party rating. Nice list, thanks for sharing!

University of South Carolina - #43. Go Gamecocks!

I have to give credit to Bama ROTC for having the guts to bring up a poll where the Tide is NOT #1. Especially when they are outranked by Auburn!!!!

Wow, that makes twice in two months that Bama got their junk kicked in by Ohio State. Actually by almost the whole Big Ten, come to that.

Wasn't meaning to be antagonistic... More just poking at Tide fans (most of whom never attended) who get themselves worked into a lather when they finish behind Auburn in anything. You have the right attitude about pointing out the benefits of the school and others, leaving it to the educated shopper to make an informed decision.

Of course, there is so much more to a college education that the institution. It is the whole experience. The school, the community, the experiences (including ROTC). I personally (back in the day) went to an institution ranked higher yet in that ranking (and generally ranked even higher in most other popular polls). I probably did an inferior job of making the most of the academic opportunities available, but OTOH the other parts of the experience have probably had a far bigger impact on my development as an adult.

So as much as parents want to get wrapped up in academic ranking and the like, matching the whole experience to the individual student's developmental potential is far more important.

I am not here as a "Tide fan". I am here as an extension of my profession. I was not offended, I just wanted to clarify my position. As a ROO my primary responsibility is to identify and recruit students with leadership potential for the Army. My first loyalty is to the Army and second to my University.
