I made it into USMAPS class of 2016, but I am curious how this works. Do they make you COMPLETELY reapply from scratch and have you request new transcripts and recommendations? Or will they just transfer parts of the old application into the new one?

USMAPS C/O 2016 APPOINTEE

It's a mix honestly. I am currently in the USMAPS Class of 2015. I'll try and give you a run down of the application process. They will keep your academic stuff (transcripts and academic info) on file, but you will have to do a lot of stuff over again (candidate statements, ACT and SAT, CFA, and your congressional nomination). If you don't get a nomination, you can get a Commander's Endorsement which will count as one. You will take the CFA during CCBT. You will do your candidate statements while here at USMAPS and your English teacher will correct it for you. You will have to sign-up and take both the SAT (in February) and ACT (April). Also don't freak out on the percentage that gets in to USMA. If you actually try and put in the effort, you're going to make it West Point the next year. Congrats on getting accepted and good luck when you get here.

Are the candidate questions the same? Or different? And the SAT deadline has passed obviously while I wasn't told anything about having to take those two tests. Did someone notify you to LBK117? Also USMAPS c/o 2016

LBK117 is referring to retaking the SAT/ACT WHILE at USMAPS, so in Feb/April 2016.

LBK, Thank you so much for the re-assurance. It was JUST what I needed. PFC Turner, feel free to hook me up anytime. Looking forward to this experience. HOOAH.
