Still waiting on NROTC Scholarship news but have been accepted ED to where I want to go. Should I notify selection people in Pensacola that I will attending this school ? If I'm not fortunate enough to get 4yr I plan on joining as a College program Mid anyway.... Thanks

What college was it?

I'd rather not say but a very high ranking university in which going ED improved my chances. Downside is if I'm awarded a scholarship to any of my other choices and unable to transfer it my parents start writing checks..... :)
Question remains do I tell the selection board now or wait?
Thanks

Congrats on your acceptance but the scholarship board doesn't care. If you had gotten the scholarship and weren't accepted yet, then letting the detachment know so they could try to sway admittance would be a different story but the scholarship committee only looks at you for a scholarship first. Once you are chosen, they just go down your list of schools and place you where there is room starting with your first choice.

Good luck!

Many Thanks.... That's what I gathered

I agree contact the unit. Our DS was the opposite than nrotc86. He applied and received his scholarship in Dec. (AFROTC, 1st board). In Feb. he received admission to two colleges that he never applied to (UNCCH and NYU Stearns).. Since he was our first, we were confused and believed it was a mistake from admissions or maybe some type of scam.

I called both colleges the day we received the letter and they stated it was no mistake he was indeed admitted. It was his ALO (BGO equivalent) that informed us when HQ AFROTC released the list of scholarship recipients it went to every unit nationally. The CoCs at those two colleges had sway with admissions because they have ROTC members on the admission boards.
~ He didn't accept/matriculate to either, just saying it happens.

There are also many that don't. Just saying it does not hurt to ask. Worse case scenario the quick phone call can also tell them you want them and maybe gets you on their radar.
