It means he hasn't been offered one for 2019. Going through foundation will get him into the class of 2020 assuming he does his work. Think of it as a delayed offer, I suppose.Good day, DS received a call this week asking if he would be interested in a Foundation scholarship for the USNA. Does this mean he has no chance at appointment for this year? Thanks in advance.
If he does really want to go to Navy, then he should take the foundation offer. If he just wants to be in the military and doesn't care how he gets there, then maybe NROTC would be the best choice for himThank you for the replies. He has an NROTC scholarship to his first choice university as well. So challenging to offer input to him as to the best route to take. He really, really wants to be at the USNA. Just not sure what to advise him. Wish this parenting thing got easier
