My son was directed to undergo a remedial for asthma. He went to the provider Concorde directed him to visit and had it done. Yesterday, in the mail, we received a bill from that provider noting what Concorde had paid and telling us that "our portion" of the bill of $69.00 dollars and requesting immediate payment. Do I need to call the Office that did the remedial or call Concorde on Monday about this?

This was a DoDMERB ordered remedial done at the facility Concorde directed us to, so there should be no charge to us at all.

Correct . . .

FAQ Answer from DoDMETS website:

"How much does this all cost me?

Nothing. These services are all free to the applicant, including any follow-up appointments if necessary. You will not pay a cent for any of these services. The government and Concorde covers the cost for everything. If a doctor asks you for insurance information, co-pay, or any other type of payment information please call us immediately."

Yep -- call Concorde Monday

What happens if you have a remedial but they are not sending you through the system. DS needs an xray. Do we pay this out of pocket?

Were you able to get this resolved through Concorde? I have a $992 bill that I have been trying to get Concorde to pay for since February. It was an ordered remedial through Concorde's provider. I am being threatened with being sent to collections by the medical provider. At my wits end with lack of response by phone or email by Concorde. Just wondering if you were able to get yours taken care of without extraordinary steps.

dbuxton, I would give DoDMERB a call if you aren't getting through to Concorde. They are very helpful and have always returned a call within 24 hours.

Thanks. I am probably going to resort to that tomorrow. Concorde has finally started following up with me, but they were suppose to give me a status update on Friday and nothing. Trying to give the process the benefit of the doubt, but having a hard time with being threatened with collections.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Also see my post titled DoDMERB Billing Questions!! It's been a year and I'm still trying to get a bill paid that Concorde is responsible for!!!
