My chances of receiving a ROTC scholarship??

I'm currently a high school junior planning on applying for an ROTC scholarship.
I have straight A's, a 3.9 GPA and many AP classes.
I've done track, volleyball, and plan on doing cross country.
I am in three honor societies.
I am the treasurer of my junior class and of the National Honor Society.
I have yet to take my SAT or ACT but I got a 190 on my PSAT which predicts a 1900-2000 on my SAT.
I plan on majoring in Physics or Mathematics in college.
I'm currently looking at the colleges Virginia Tech, University of North Carolina, university of Virginia, etc.
Any information on my chances of a scholarship and what ROTC is like or what branch I could go into would be greatly appreciated.
 
What kinds of ROTC scholarships are you gonna apply for? AROTC, NROTC, NROTC Marine Option, or AFROTC?

You seem competitive, but this is just my opinion. It's hard to tell without an actual test score. I applied for an Army ROTC scholarship and had similar stats and got it.
 
I would take the SAT and ACT every chance you can get because UVA and UNCCH are considered public Ivies. Both, even if you are In State are going to be filled with applicants closer to 2100 and even higher for Out of State.

VT you are in the ball park for In State.

It really does matter which branch you are applying for. AFROTC does best sitting, no superscoring, with 80%+ going to Tech majors. The scholarship is tied to the candidate and intended major, not the school choice. NROTC superscores, 85% go to STEM and the scholarship is tied to the major and the school. AROTC superscores, is not as major driven as the other two, but like NROTC it is tied the school.

IOWS, if you only place reaches on your list, and they (A/NROTC) award the scholarship to the reach school, but the school rejects you, than you have to request and hope you are allowed a transfer to a school you were offered admittance.

For AFROTC if they offer you a scholarship as a Tech major and come Sept. you want to go non tech you need HQs approval. Chances are slim to none that they will allow it. Thus, you either stay in that tech degree and fight through it, or switch and give up your scholarship. You can stay in the program, but just as a non-scholarship cadet.

Think about how you will rack and stack your school choices or intended major before you hit submit.

~ FYI, for AFROTC they do not take into consideration any ECs or academic curriculum your senior year. Thus, for them track and volleyball would be it for sports.

wow thank you sooooo much for all the info that was extremely helpful. I was on varsity track for all 4 years and varsity volleyball sophomore and junior year and JV freshman year

I also live in Maryland so all of my colleges are out of state which is extremely unfortunate.

I was also wondering what sitting and IOWS meant?

With a 1900-2000 SAT score do you think Tech is possible for out of state??

I was also primarily looking into AFROTC if that helps decide my chances of receiving the scholarship (and if so, what type of scholarship would I most likely get, with a 1900-2000 score)
 
A 190 PSAT does not equate to a 1900-2000 SAT, it equates to a 1900 SAT. The SAT is also a tad more difficult for most people since it is longer and contains more math concepts. You also have to write an essay which is bad news for a lot of people. I did 5(or 50 depending on how you look at it) points better on the PSAT than the SAT.

IOWs= In order words

Try the ACT too, you might do better. Most of the people I know, myself included, are better at the ACT than the SAT.
