Firstly, here is my timeline:

13-JAN-15 Application Added
13-JAN-15 Date applicant entered into DoDMERB system
30-JAN-15 Actual date of exam
06-FEB-15 Date exam reviewed
06-FEB-15 Date exam received at DoDMERB
06-FEB-15 Medical data entry

Current Medical Status: Remedial Requested.

Not sure what that means in term of what I can do...There is no code to go along with any of the updates on the TL either. Anyone know what is the deal with this?

Thanks in advance.

Did you get an answer on this? Did you have to wait for the letter to come in the mail? Thanks!

Sorry I kinda let this die..but I did indeed get an answer. A couple days later the website updated with code R 252.10 which is just an administrative remedial (no appointment needed) so I just printed off the allergies questionnaire and mailed it to them on the 16'th. Found out today all is well and I'm officially qualified. Great news..from my experience DoDMERB was an extremely easy process, but of course others may disagree. Just have any paperwork you may need readily available. That's what I did and all went smoothly!

Here's my timeline just to give anyone who's curious of the process a general idea of one case's length.

Agency: US Marine Corps ROTC
Cycle Year:2014
Current Medical Status:Qualified

13-JAN-15 Date applicant entered into DoDMERB system
13-JAN-15 Application Added
30-JAN-15 Actual date of exam
06-FEB-15 Date exam received at DoDMERB
06-FEB-15 Medical data entry
06-FEB-15 Date letter sent - Remedial R252.10
06-FEB-15 Date exam reviewed
20-FEB-15 Date exam reviewed

Great thanks! My DD status was updated to Remedial requested today. No code yet or letter sent. I guess it is more waiting.....and waiting.....and waiting. It will all be worth it in the end.

My DS updated to remedial requested today. What next? Do we get a letter in the mail or will the code show up on WP or dodmets? Don't know what the remedial is for

A code or codes will show up on the DoDmerb website in the next day or two. You will also get a letter in the mail (that will also show up on the website with the date it was sent). It took about a week for us to get the letter. The letter will explain where to send paperwork. If an appointment is needed (code will indicate) you can go to the Dodmets website to set up the appointment.

Thanks! Of course we will be out of state the first week of April. Ugh. Hope it is something easy

Just to add - and I still think this is strange - DS had "Remedial" listed on DODMERB and he never got a letter at all!! Instead he was called by the medical exam office and told him they'd forgotten to ask him some questions. They wanted him to come back in, but when he said we live more than an hour away they agreed to do it over the phone. So we thought it was all good... until the status didn't change and medical exam office called back AGAIN. This time they said they'd forgotten to take a measurement (top of his head to bottom of his spine - still don't know what that was for). Fortunately they accepted a faxed statement from his HS nurse with the measurement. About a week later voila, the status changed to Qualified. WHEW! But we never saw a single letter! I was so frazzled by then due to the whole application process I didn't know what to think. Still thanking God it all worked out. ;)

They were checking his sitting height. Some jobs have a min or max height; i.e. too tall or too short to fly fighters. At least that's what the medical examiner told my DD. :)
