AFROTC Scholarship Questions

I recently got a type-7 AFROTC scholarship, which only applies to schools in my state. I'm a little confused on what "qualifications" a school needs for me to use this scholarship there. I've tried to find a list of schools that apply to this scholarship to no avail. All I seem to find are schools that have an AFROTC program. Can a school not be qualified for the scholarship, yet have an ROTC program? My situation is that I want to go to Troy University in Alabama, which shows up on the list of schools for AFROTC, but Troy has a 2 year AFROTC program... Does this mean I can't use my scholarship?

My best advice is to contact the CoC AND the bursar.

They will know if the school will consider you OOS and if it is considered more than an IS cadet.
~ IE TAMU will give IS tuition for OOS if they get a scholarship. IOWS, if Troy considers you as IS because you have a scholarship than your type 7 does not need to be converted. If Troy charges your IS for Alabama than again you don't need to convert to a type 2....read the fine print...
IS tuition or if OOS than it can't be more than the IS tuition.
~~~ 13k tuition for NC, TAMU even for OOS may charge you their IS Good to go!
IF however you don't meet those requirements because the college does not see you as IS, than you will need to convert the scholarship to Type 2 3 year.
Thanks for the quick reply! I guess I'll take your advice and make some more calls. I live in Alabama, so there's no issue with out of state and all that. I'm just wondering if I can use my scholarship at Troy even though it's a 2 year program there.
