Hello- My DS was chosen to attend the AFA prep. He accepted on April 4th and he received his congratulatory letter the following week. He noticed there was new information on his portal that is now gone. When should he expect to get more information and what should he expect ?

Hello- My DS was chosen to attend the AFA prep. He accepted on April 4th and he received his congratulatory letter the following week. He noticed there was new information on his portal that is now gone. When should he expect to get more information and what should he expect ?
I think it was some kind of glitch. My daughter got the message and there was a welcoming letter and then it was taken off. I'm sure they will hear soon.
I agree that there was a glitch. He received a letter, but could not open it, and then it was gone. Yes, I spoke to admissions, and it should come by the end of the month. I think I have seen in previous posts that they should come with one bag. Do you have any ideas of what type to buy??
From what I was told by current preppies, any small backpack will do. They will be issued a backpack to use while at the prep and unlike the academy, the cadet candidates use it. My DD will take her black JanSport. You really don't need to buy a new one.
Things that I didn't know they needed are a pair of khakis, light color, brown shoes and brown leather belt with no designs. Let me tell you. It's not as easy as it sound for a girl who wears size 5.5 shoes.
