Possible Appointment?

So my household received a phone call Friday afternoon. My little sister took the call and said that it mentioned the words "principal appointment", "letter will be sent Monday and you will receive it Wednesday", and "Congratulations". I of course cannot assume that this is the announcement for my receiving an appointment. Does anyone have any experience or opinion on this? It would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Haha, I'll bet you really quizzed your little sister once she got off the phone. :D You could always call back, just to make sure. I am not too knowledgeable about USMMA matters, but it sounds like it could very well be an appointment. If so, congratulations! :thumb:

Yes, I definitely did interrogate my sister! :) I am planning on calling first thing tomorrow morning in order to find out, due to college decisions being due in under two weeks! Thanks for your reply.

Best of luck, and I really hope it is indeed an appointment! You've got to let us know once you find out. :D

You'll usually hear by letter. That's what happened to me. I never got a call whatsoever

I received a very positive sounding call that said I should get a letter Wednesday. Do only those who are appointed receive letters or does everyone?

Couldn't tell yeah. They'll probably get one either way. All I know is that if it is an acceptance letter it will come in a large flat fed ex white envelope. I got a letter from usna that was a deferral just came in a regular envelope

If you got that call I'd say you're 99.9% in...unless sister is playing a very distasteful prank.

Congrats buddy....

And welcome to the regiment.

Not to nitpick here - but you aren't members of the regiment until Recognition. You have a long way to go till you get there.

@2KPsons

Wasn't trying to disrespect anything or anyone...I was referring to the acceptance letter from Capt. DeStafney which specifically says, "Welcome to the regiment."

You beat me to it!

As I said:

"Wasn't trying to disrespect anything or anyone...I was referring to the acceptance letter from Capt. DeStafney which specifically says, "Welcome to the regiment."

That was verbatim from the acceptance letter we received...Not my fault.

2KPsons was a lot nicer than I was going to be so stop trying to justify/clarify your mistake (innocent or not).

A lesson for indoc ... keep your eyes/ears open and your mouth shut. When (not if) you get yelled out just say "Yes sir/ma'am" and move on.
