Confused mom here! DS leaves for 1st Regiment CIET at 6AM Friday.
1. CIET orders: He only has unsigned orders. Was told that signed orders would be emailed to him once they were received from CC. I have heard (Reddit) mixed information about orders, that he will not receive signed orders until he arrives at Knox. He has tried emailing his HR person, but has not gotten a response. He will be calling Monday, but does anyone have info about orders for CIET (in general).
2. Airline tickets: He was told to confirm with the airline 3 days prior, that the govt confirms with the airlines 72 hours prior (this is actually written on his travel pages where his flight info is written). However, the airline(United) confirmation page (with his actual flight/seat info, etc) says not yet ticketed and that the flight will be cancelled if not confirmed by tonight. Just noticed it, so cannot get a hold of HR person until Monday. Does anyone know how this works?
Not having been through this before, and being one who plans ahead and double checks everything like that, I am a bit worried! I know, welcome to the Army....
