For those reading, there are typos because of my iPad's auto correct. Sorry about that.

1490 with CR + Math? Or CR, math and writing?

Besides that, you're looking pretty good. Keep looking for those leadership positions, prepare for your interviews and keep at it.

Thanks jake, my sat is 500 math, 500 critical reading, and 490 writing. This is something I need to work on. I plant to take a sat course in the fall.

If you are interested in playing football in college, consider dropping a line to the football coach at USMA. You have nothing to lose. If they like you, great! If not, no sweat. Recruited athletes are in a minority in the pool of applicants. Also, a lot of recruited athletes attend USMAPS (prep school). It's a year of high school review, but you get a year of academic, athletic, and military preparation and you report in ahead of the game the following summer (granted you check all the boxes in prep school).

I sent a recruit questionnaire to both sprint football and football. I don't think I'll will have any problems with sprint. For a 168 "little dude" I can pack a serious punch. For regular, the only thing is my height.

Are you a rising Junior or Senior starting next year?

Your right, you will need to work on your SAT, have you considered the ACT?

Have you considered applying for the AROTC Scholarship? If you can get your SAT (CR and Math) up to 1100 or over it would improve your chances with the Scholarship, you will lose points on the interview sheet with a score below 1100. AROTC also Superscores the SAT and ACT.

Yeah, definitely get those SAT scores up. Like Jcleppe mentioned, try the ACT too. Very different tests. You may do a lot better on one than the other.

A quick tip: Get on good terms with your FFR. Every FFR is different, but mine was constantly pushing my case with the higher ups in the admissions process. It's always good to have someone on your side in the process.

Jcleppe I periodically email my field force officer to update him on my progress, I don't think most candidates do that. The idea is to show him I really x100 care and want an appointment.

And yes I am applying to army rotc. The only things left for me is fitness test( too easy), guidance form ,and transcript. I also applying to USNA, norwich, the citadel, vmi, Boston university, and Texas a and m, and I applied to army rotc and nrotc navy option

I think you would be surprised at how many keep in touch, most competitive applicants keep in contact throughout the process. Good that your keeping up with it, always helps to keep yourself known.

You may want to wait to send in your application to AROTC until you retake the SAT. You will want your SAT score to be above 1100 or, ACT 24 or above, prior to your interview so you can receive the max points. If you do not have these scores then you will be boarded with a below max interview score. This will lower your chances for a scholarship especially for the schools you have listed, all of those schools are highly competitive for AROTC Scholarships.

Taking a SAT cours in the fall might be too late. Typically for West Point, candidates with "low" SAT/ACT scores are not allow to complete the application. Usually completed application is required for the DODMERB exam (medical) authorization. You might get the DODMERB exam through Navy or ROTC, but West Point won't request the exam result.

Test score is low. Hire a tutor for ACT. Take each time offered. They superstore. But honestly you need to improve the math score a lot. You need at least a 28 to be competitive. Best of luck.

The issue with ROTC in regard to DODMERB is that the applicant is not sent to get their exam until they have been awarded a scholarship. The earliest an applicant will be contacted by DODMERB would be early to mid November if they are selected by the first board.

Hey man you look good besides the ACT/SAT which you already know. Improve that and you should be a very competitive candidate!

On a side note, I wouldn't list the National Society of High School Scholars on your resume because most colleges know it is an honor you paid for and basically a scam. That's just my two cents and am in no way trying to sound rude.

Good luck man, I hope we here of your appointment in a few months!
