Class of 2020 Admission Portals Open?

Wonder if any Class of 2020 Admission Portals are open yet? Since the newest letter states, Candidates will have only four months to the day that their portals opened to complete process....
 
My DDs is not open yet, but we were told by the admissions people they would be opened in the order they were received. She was told to check it frequently and that she would receive an email telling her to check her portal. She submitted hers on 3 Mar 15, and we are still waiting (patiently) :)
 
Ok...So my DD needs to not worry yet, she submitted her application in the latter part of May.

I would not worry. We received this in a letter via her portal:

We expect that most applicants that meet our candidate guidelines and that applied before the 1st of July will be
promoted to candidate status by the end of July. Applicants promoted to candidate status between the 1st of July
and the 30th of September will have at least four months to complete their required items. Applicants promoted to
candidate status on or after the 1st of October will typically have a deadline of the 31st of January to complete these
tasks.
 
My DDs portal is USAFA only, so I can't speak for the other academies.

USMAHopeful97, when you say your portal is open, does that mean your status has changed from applicant to candidate? And, if so, have you received your candidate kit? What date did you apply? Thanks.

Yes I was promoted to candidate status which gave me the candidate kit, and I applied back in December.
 
I see. You applied very early then and that must be why your portal is open. Good for you and good luck! We will just keep waiting :D
 
My DD USAFA portal opened yesterday (7-7), USNA opened in May and USMA says (7-31). DD applied to all the end of January--not sure if that helps at all.
 
DS opened today. He applied March 2 Not sure how that earlier poster applied in December because it didn't open till March 1 here. Maybe they are a recruited athlete. I have heard that they open things earlier at some of the academies for recruited athletes. By the way I have no problem with that.
Son is now an official candidate at USAFA and USNA and is working on nomination packets. He is having a tough time choosing which one to list as first choice.
The roller coaster ride has begun.

The only thing I can think of is that they might have opened their pre-candidate questionnaire when applying for summer seminar. My DD was given that option and declined and later applied in March. Good luck to your DS and hang on tight!:yikes:

The SS application is the start of the application process (well, one of the ways to start the process). So, I suspect those who applied to SS will probably see their portals open sooner.
 
I applied to SS in early December, and my portal opened on July 1st, if that provides any insight
 
When the portals open are they then having links to print whatever form she needs to fill out or have filled out? She is dual enrolled in HS and College. He summer semester ends next week and she is trying to have one of her professors fill out the needed English teachers evaluation (she has taken only College English for her Sophomore and Junior year).
