My wife and I are planning to attend the MAX 3 graduation parade for our DS on Sunday. Can anyone who attended the MAX 1 or MAX 2 graduation provide some details?
What time did you arrive at Maxwell AFB for the parade?
Did you bring food for your cadet?
How much time did you get with your cadet?

Max 2 graduate here. I think you have the days mixed up the parade isn't until Monday. As far as food, you can take them out to eat as long as you do not leave the base. We had a really nice dinner at the O club for $10 so I would take advantage of that. You get about 2-4 hours with you cadet because around 1330 they should have briefs/awards ceremonies.

Do you have a military I.D? If not, I would add in some time for going through the gate. You will need to get a visitors pass, and if it is inundated with a lot of guests it can take 30-45 minutes.

Caveat: We did not go to our DSs SFT graduation. However, we are military and that has always been the rule of thumb at every base we were stationed at. If you have no military ID the gate guard will send you back to the visitor center before you can enter the base.
~ They will than run your insurance, license and registration through their system before giving you the piece of paper to hand to the gate guard.

It might be different there, but unless somebody that attended posts, I would contact the visitor center to get the exact answer as a non-military parent.
