Hi, I attended a CVW the February of my junior year and was told it was because USNA saw something liked in my basic application. I am wondering if now that I am putting my class of 2020 application in I could be invited back a second time for a CVW (as they are normally given out to seniors).

Can people go to 2 CVWs or is it usually only a 1 time thing?

Thank you

My question is why do you want to go again? What would you learn from the second time vs. the first time? Not saying or implying you can't, but what do you hope to accomplish from a second trip?

Yes, that happens. My son was invited back for a second weekend and I know of others too.

Our son attended CVW in spring and received another invitation in fall. When he inquired about the second invite, the admissions people said attending once is enough. He received yet another invitation shortly after receiving an appointment.

Apparently, admissions does not track who has attended CVW when sending subsequent invitations.

I highly recommend attending CVW. It it very informative for both candidates and parents.

Agree with usnabgo08, there's nothing really new that you'll see or that's significantly different from the first visit.

Usnabgo08 I hope to go back the second time because the first one was amazing. In addition I love getting an inside look at the academy and a mids point of view on my questions.

Good to hear you liked the first visit, but what else are you looking for "inside"? The daily regimen you saw with your Plebe was pretty much everyday life, maybe depending on if you went in the fall or spring you caught a football game on Saturday. There are many current and former mids on here that can help with your questions, I'd personally save myself a second trip.

Agree what are you trying to get out of the visit? It sounds like you are USNA all the way, so it's not a decision making visit is it? It's none of our business what your families financial situation is, but remember that senior year is pricey. All kinds of additional costs with applying to schools, interviews ahead, senior pics, graduation costs. Do you have your Plan B solidified? Plan C? Have you visited those schools yet? Agree you can asks questions here and any grad or Mid you run across. I wouldn't recommend going again because it's 'cool' or 'fun'. I would highly recommend you invest those funds into visiting your back up schools, travel for DoDMERB, interviews and other pricey things that are going to add quickly in the next 12-16 months.

I am in the same situation. I attended CVW in the spring as a junior. My app is now complete and this week I received a second CVW invitation. I called USNA to make sure I could attend two, and they replied that they had overlooked my previous attendance and that they could not accommodate a second visit. I totally would have gone again... USNA is my number 1 choice, I have visited 7 times, and I still believe that there is always more to learn about it. Unfortunately though, each candidate can only attend one CVW.
