Portal Problem

I have several problems with my portal (actually just one but I fear there might be another) and I just wanna see whether any of you guys have similar problems.

1. My ACT results still are not up. I sent in my SAT scores a week after I requested my ACT scores-- SAT scores are up but no ACT scores.

2. One of my teacher recommendation letters is still pending. This I'm not exactly sure whether its the system or my teacher. Background: I requested this rec later than the other recs (counselor, other teacher, etc) and all the other stuff has been received but this one. I'm afraid of emailing her because I don't want to give an impression I'm rushing here but on the other hand I'm afraid it's a problem with my portal

Anyone else experience these issues?

My ACT score is also not up, along with my English teacher recommendation. I am not sure what end the later problem is so I sent an email to my teacher and to my admissions counselor about it. I would email your teacher as well. Don't bother with the ACT though, a lot of people are in the same boat (there was a whole other thread created about it). Hope this helps and good luck!

I am in a similar situation. I have one rec letter left to be submitted, except that teacher has not received any email from USNA. I have emailed my admissions counselor. I hope to find out what happened with the request email soon.

Make sure the teachers are checking the spam box...it sometimes get hung up in there. When the teacher submits the letter of recommendation, it should update almost instantaneously...so if it still shows not received, it's likely on the teachers end. Also for luckydog, I would not contact admissions (if you need to) before you speak with your teacher, as they are likely to ask you just that. Start at the lowest level and work your way up.

well she said she received it, all I'm waiting for is a indication to whether she submitted it or not

This was the biggest PITA portion of DS's application. One teacher did not check their school email while on Summer break, and another dragged their feet. My son was able to get the school to call them so he could contact them. He politely explained how important it was to his appointment that they complete their part asap because of rolling admissions. Both got right on it afterwards. It's their Summer vacation too so you so have to keep after them sometimes. SA applicants are generally liked by their teachers so I would not feel bad about "bugging" them.

I'm having a similar issue, only with my activities record. I emailed the admissions counselor from USNA because my high school counselor said she hadn't received any email, even in her spam. It's been two weeks and the USNA counselor hasn't responded. Is that a reasonable amount of time to wait? It's the last step in my application so what do I do if my USNA counselor keeps dragging her feet?

Never hurts to email again, or call. Keep in mind with the end of swab summer and the start of classes folks might be very busy.

I would call. Someone in Admissions should be able to help you, even if it is not your actual Admissions Counselor.
