ACT Scores

My composite is a 27. Do people gain admission with that?

I think they do, but it all depends on your area and how competitive it is. I wouldn't sit on that score. If you were my kid, I'd have you take it again, maybe a couple more times.

The Math score is extremely important. Is that bringing your composite up or down?

You can study for it. If you are a senior applying for 2020, you can take the test all the way through the December date trying to get the score up.

The math is a 27 so it's not bringing me up or down. Science is what's killing me
I would recommend an ACT tutor. You don't need a crazy amount of sessions, but success in the science section is less about science knowledge and more about how to approach the questions. I good ACT tutor can give you the proper approach on how to skim the passages/charts and attack the questions. You would most likely see a decent bump in your science score. Once you get the approach, its practice, practice, practice test.

Its not, "Is it good enough". What is more important can I get this score higher. The higher you get it, makes your WCS more attractive. You still have time to squeeze that score.

I never try for just good enough, I'm smarter than what those scores show, I'm just not a good test taker. Thanks for all the input guys.
