First of all: thanks to all who expressed their sympathy to me through PMs or posts in my other thread.

The administration notified me today that I would be allowed to stay for my final semester for Community Service work (ie helping the janitors :p), Paperwork on weekends, and maintaining a 3.5 GPA unweighted!!!!

I cannot express how excited I am. I started this process without any of my parent's support, and since I didn't have my license I took buses and trains to my interviews (here in Atlanta the transports suck! And they are dirty and I was wearing a suit :D). I filled out all paperwork, I organized, I got nominations and interviews and everything, and most importantly I got the job done.

I know this doesn't seem like alot, but to me... it's amazing I can funilly fufill my dream.

I want to thank everyone on the forum who has given me valuable help, and to say with a big happy shout: CLASS OF 2013!!!!!!!!!!

(This might seem melodramatic... but I AM SO HAPPPY RIIIIGHT NOWWWWWW. haha :D)

Congratulations! You are proof that determination and perseverence makes everything possible.

Perseverance definetly pays off. From all your hard work, you deserve this. Congratulations.

TWinter! Congratulations! That is such great news! I am not even your mom, and I am so proud of you! You will be busy the next few months, but think how sweet graduation will be knowing you are on your way to USNA! You have a right to be happy!!! See you on I-day (I'll be the one wearing the USNA mom t-shirt :))

Congratulations, TWinter. You are a wonderful example of setting a goal and not letting obstacles get in your way! See you on I-Day. Only I don't have a USNA Mom t-shirt! I'll be the Mom with the big smile, then the crocodile tears! :shake:

JennyP, you WILL have an USNA mom t-shirt by the time the plebes have sworn in...they sell them at the visitor's center :) And on parents weeknd you get to buy a cool USNA CLASS of 2013 totebag with your kid's name on it !!! (They look like Land's End canvas beach bags in natural with blue straps and blue writing :) Just saw the Class of 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012 bags yesterday :)

Yay. Good for you. I got shivers reading your post. I don't know you at all, but I am so proud of you. I knew you would find a way. I hope my son gets a chance to know you since he is going to be in your class.

Thank you so much everyone!

I appreciate all these comments and PMs, they make me proud that I have chosen to serve our country!

I'm just glad that you all are sympathetic, and I hope to meet many of you/your sons or daughters on I-day!

Good job, Twinter. Glad that you found a way to help make your dreams come true and I wish you all the best going into your plebe year. My son has accepted a slot at NAPS so I'll look forward to seeing you in 2010, Lord willing. Who knows you may have my son and his peers as "your" plebes in your youngster year. I believe you'll remember to treat them right1:shake:

Twinter, I'm proud of you for your tenacity.
