Hello, I am a rising senior in high school and I am applying to USMA and USNA. However, I have a couple of medical issues that I don't know if would disqualify me on the Dodmerb that I am going to take. A few months ago, I fainted in school. I haven't fainted since but I now have some dental problems from my fall. I had to have one tooth removed and I am soon going to receive a retainer that I wear until I am old enough to get an implant. Aside from my fainting/dental issue, I have three other problems: eczema that I had as a child; car motion sickness that I occasionally got while reading as a child; and shin splints last year from running cross country. All three issues are now resolved, but I don't know if they will disqualify me. Based on all of this information do you think I will be disqualified? Thanks.

Im also a rising senior but I don't think your child issues (motion sickness, eczema) will present a problem so long as you are able to provide evidence that both are resolved.
Shin splints shouldn't be an issue either.
Freshman year I was diagnosed with "allergic asthma" by a nurse practitioner. Well asthma will DQ you so we saw a pulmonologist who said it was whooping cough. That won't DQ me bc I have evidence that I don't have the DQing condition anymore.
Your fainting may cause an issue unless you can get a doctor to explain it away.

I can't answer about the specific conditions, but from your question, I'm getting the impression that you feel compelled to report "stuff" that just happened (ie getting motion sickness while reading). Once you get your DODMERB questionnaire answer it honestly, but read the questions carefully. Most are in the form of "Have you ever BEEN DIAGNOSED with _____." I'm pretty sure they're looking for a diagnosis from a medical professional. Don't place yourself in the position of being a doctor. You'll save yourself a lot of headaches.
