When should I schedule to take the CFA w/my PE teacher? Do I have to wait until my portal opens?
 
Yep! Wait until your portal opens. There is a tab in the overview section on the portal marked "CFA" that requires you to input the email address and name (I think) of the person you want to administer the CFA. They will get an email with instructions. You and your PE teacher work out when you want to take it. Do is ASAP if you are ready.
 
Have you been practicing (how long if you have)? I'm aiming to take mine in the final week of September
 
I have been practicing all of summer. I even joined a cross fit gym to help train. However I am still slightly below average for everything. I am working on pull ups because it seems as its looked more highly on than flexed arm hangs. I am not sure when I will take the CFA. I was waiting to see if I passed the initial evaluation and if more information on my portal would be available once that happened.

The fact that your practicing is very good. I've been doing the same. Just hope you make it pass the first evaluation
 
there is a lot of info on the CFA stored on this website. I recommend you review it, esp the timing of the testing
