So I took both my exams about two weeks ago and I went on my dodmerb portal today and it says that both the Air Force Academy and USMA require a Remedial, but it doesn't say what for. It just says "Remedial Requested". I'm wondering if itt'l show up in a few days or if I should take some action as soon as possible. And what's the difference between a remedial and a disqualification that needs a waiver? Does a remedial mean that they're trying to figure out if it's something that I need to be disqualified and request a waiver for? Thanks for the help!

You should get something in the mail soon re. the Remedial, and yes it means they need more information to make a decision. The info needed may be more testing in the doctor's office, more info from your doctor, or more clarification on a past injury/surgery, etc. Once you complete the requirements of the Remedial (as spelled out in the letter you receive), a decision will be made whether you are medically Qualified or DQ'd. If DQd, the SAs will decide whether to request a waiver. Some DQs cannot be waived; some can. The Remedial may be simple or involve another doctor's appointment. Either way, it's helpful to know your medical history and have copies of your records. Good luck!

You can always email or call your DODMERB rep. It is posted on the web site. DD received remedial also and we were able to clear it all via email. They do send out a letter with the information but the email was a quicker solution.

Who can I email my stuff too?

I would wait. I get you want to get past this, but you need to see exactly what the remedial states. Some will state they want additional records from your family doc, and sometimes they want you to see a specialist.

You do not want to rush a remedial.

Oh I have what I need to send it already! I got it a few days after I posted this:). I'm just wondering who I can email it to, but I think I'm just going to mail everything in. Thanks again:)
