Scholarship Stipend Startup - AFROTC

Hey y'all,

Anyone know when the stipends and book pay start up for contracted cadets? Much obliged.

When did you contract?
Stipends are paid in arrears. Show up 9/1, contract 9/7 and you may be too late for processing the 9/15 stipend. Thus, you may see 2 deposits. 1 for the 7-14th and now on target for the 15-30th of Sept. deposited into your account no later than 10/1.

Best advice is to first talk to a C200 in your unit that was on scholarship last yea as a 100.

2nd piece of advice if you do not have it in your account 3 weeks after contracting talk to your NCOIC....hint...make sure that your direct deposit numbers for checking are correct when you talk to them, otherwise it could be floating around in a black hole of technology.

Contracted in February, stipends paused over the summer (as I think they do for everyone else as well), and now I'm just wondering when they were to resume for FY16. Thanks!

Should have started by now if you've been in school for 15+ days, but there's a giant f**k up in pay going on right now. We have a guy who contracted last year who hasn't been paid a cent, none of the new POC have been paid and we started in mid August, all of our extended cadets haven't been getting paid which is a mistake. If you go to the AFROTC FB forum you can see more stories like this. You're just going to have to wait and check in with your NCO regularly, pray you're lucky enough not to have a pay issue.

Exactly, I'm a AS300 with a scholarship as of last spring and none of us have been paid yet. It'll come eventually.

Just got word from my NCOIC: "Our cadet database system is having troubles sending your pay information to DFAS to begin your pay. You may have noticed that you did not receive a stipend payment on the 15th as you should have. This is not a local problem and is effecting not just some or all of you, but cadets across the nation and our headquarters is aware of the problem."

But....

"Although you did not receive a payment this week, or if this takes longer and you don’t receive a deposit on the 1st or into future months, know that once the problem is fixed you will receive back-pay which covers the entire period missed."


It's in HQ's hands now....so hopefully we'll get paid before 2015 is over

I remember 1 year when DS was a 300. He did not get anything, including his TDY (SFT) pay until the end of Oct. Once the gates opened he was having money dropped fast and furious. I think within a 2 week period he had several grand dropped into his account.
~ IE TDY went in Oct.28th. Stipend for part of Oct. Nov 1st. Nov 4th Books. Nov 7th back pay for stipend. Nov 15th on schedule.

Just an update: Some AS400's in my Det started receiving stipend pay again, let's hope for some numbers in our accounts on 1 Oct!
