I know that there are threads on the Nom process and questions pertaining to the Presidential Noms. My DS rec his offer of appointment, obviously based on his Presidential, as the Congressional Process is barely underway. DS sent admissions an email asking if his Congressman had been informed of his appointment (we thought that we might here from him). Admissions sent him back an email telling him not to pull his packages and continue to seek noms. Admissions would inform Senators/Congressman once he appears on their list. Why would he compete for a nom with the possibility of taking it away from someone else when he is sitting on an appointment, not a LOA. I understand the movement of noms, but with an appointment already in hand, why would he be asked to do this? Is he not suppose to tell them that he already has an appointment? If he tells them, why would they put him on the list? I suspect that this will sit poorly with DS, because his first thought will be "will I take a nom away from someone else"? Seriously confused here...
