I have recently submitted my application for the NROTC Marine-Option Scholarship early board selection. I was just curious on how my stats lined up and maybe get some feedback on if y'all think that I will receive the scholarship or not. My stats are as follows:
-26 ACT
-3.64 unweighted GPA
-Class rank: 24th percentile
-300 PFT- 17:10 3-mile, 20 pull-ups, 144 crunches
-Entered into the Delayed Entry Program on June 16th.
-Taking classes this year consisting of College English, College Algebra, AP Psychology, and AP Seminar.
-250+ annual service hours where I regularly volunteer in the community.
-have been overseas to Belize and Guatemala on mission trips.
-FCA President
-Student Council
-FFA treasurer
-Charlie Squad Leader at the weekly poolee functions.
-Cross Country and Track team captain.
-Church small group leader
-Student Leadership Team
-Ran a half-marathon in 1:23.19 which is a 6:21 mile pace.
I have a bunch of other clubs and awards but those are irrelevant to this post. Thanks for the advice and input!
God Bless,
Future Marine Officer

You certainly have a shot. ACT score is a bit lower than my son's (who did not win a scholarship), but you nailed the PFT and your leadership looks pretty good. Perhaps the latter will make up for the former. Take the ACT or SAT again. My DS had a chance to update his scores between the boards.

OK thank you kinnem for the advice! I will definitely bump up the score on my ACT a few more points between the two selection boards.
