Waiver for Anemia

My DD received a DQ for Anemia from Dodmerb after we sent more lab results as requested. Her count went up from an 8 to 11.8 after taking Iron pills and Birth Control. Her Dr said that was good but I am guessing not good enough. Dodmerb letter says that if she is competitive enough that she may receive a waiver from USNA. Has this happened to anyone else?
 
I had the same issue in 2009. I got a waiver with a higher count. Not sure I recent her anemia was.

My DD blood count about a month ago was 11.8. Do you think that she should go get tested again and summit it to USNA?
 
They go with whatever the count was when they drew blood for remedials. Mine was in 2009, and I had a blood transfusion, then iron pills for a year. After that my levels skyrocketed to 11.5. I was initially DQd, then got a waiver for it. That was back in 2013. So I'm not sure how they are going to react with her anemia being so recent. If they haven't requested remedials yet, they might soon.

Thanks, Dodmerb ask for her recent lab results then DQ'ed her saying to keep hope that USNA will give a waiver. She has not heard about a waiver yet from USNA. Still waiting wondering if we should go ahead and test her blood again and send it or just wait until they ask?
 
I mean if they request it, I'm not sure if just sending a random blood sample will help. Even if her blood is fine now, when it was tested it would have been low, and that shows fluctuation and not stability. You can always call and ask once you get the results, to see if there is anything you can do.
 
My DD contacted Dodmerb and USNA Admissions counselor and they both told her to sit back and wait to see if USNA gives her a waiver. Nothing more for her to do but wait.
