Who and/or how many people can attend the commissioning ceremonies? I thought it was limited to immediate family due to space, but then I've heard you can bring as many people as you'd like. Thanks.

Not sure how they are doing it now, but 30 years ago, each squadron reserved a special place for the commissioning ceremony. The pic on the left is mine. So . . . It can depend on the venue. If the place picked for the ceremony is small (Superintendent's box at Falcon Stadium), then attendance can be restricted.

The cadet has the 100% answer. They either know now, or they can ask their squadron. Not sure if you're a cadet or a relative/friend wanting to attend. But if you're a cadet, then you don't need to ask that question here. Just ask your AOC. If you're family/friend wanting to attend, ask you cadet.

Now, from what I remember; "My son graduated in 2012", I don't believe there was a max number, but I believe there was a need to "reserve". For my son, I know we had 8 people there. And when you say "Commissioning", I assume you mean the Night Before the graduation ceremony. The commissioning is done at the Cadet Area; while the graduation is done at Falcon Stadium. Not sure if that answered your question or not.

It's venue dependent. I ran my squad's ceremony for 2013 and 2014 and we made every effort to let them bring as many people as they needed. Once they find out where the ceremony will be (mid spring ish) you'll be able to get specifics.

That pretty much answers my question. Thanks to all that responded with their help.

We had lots of ppl at both our sons' commissioning ceremonies, but yes, they had to know ahead of time, and had to have all the security data on file.

And I think by security data, it was just a name, and maybe a driver's license number. Not much more than that.

As I recall, it was name, SSN, DL#, not much more than that, but they had to have it before - like several weeks before.
