Parents Weekend

I know that this has been asked before, but we are trying to make plans for parents weekend and the calenders that I have found have not been updated from last year yet. We are from Colorado so we want to get flights and hotels lined up soon. Does anyone know the exact dates for parents weekend 2009?

Plebe Parents Weekend in the summer or Parents Weekend in the fall? Think Parents Weekend (used to be "First Class Parents Weekend," but there has been some morphing in the concept with the new Supe to include 2/C, so not sure what the deal is this year) is 11-13 Sep. Haven't heard when PPW is.

I was notified in a voicemail that PPW is Aug. 8-9. Call the academy to verify. I thought that this was rather early. Verify with the academy before you book your tickets.
 
That wouldn't surprise me -- much will depend on 2009 Reform date, usually the third week of August, but I haven't checked the Dant's calendar recently. PPW is usually the weekend before Reform or the weekend before that weekend.

Check, check and re-check!
 
Reform is August 18/19 or 19/20 I have both dates and don't know which is correct as Class of 2010 comes back a day before the rest of the Brigade.
Classes start August 24th.

Does anyone happen to know what the schedule was for PPW last year? What I mean is..will it be like the CVW where it begins on a Thursday evening and ends on a Saturday morning at 11 am? Or will it be more like Saturday and Sunday?
 
It is usually Friday at noon meal through Sunday 1800. Our plebes had to be back to Bancroft each night. Parade is Saturday morning.

Can someone (again) describe I-Day schedule?

Do you have any suggestions for renting a small townhouse/house withing walking distance to USNA for I-Day and PPW?

Did some web searches today, came up with one or two B&B's. Know of any more?
 
USNA-Fan: stayannapolis.com I found that on one of these forums. We booked a house very close to USNA for I-Day for three nights. There are six of us traveling, so would have needed two hotel rooms. Houses begin at $250per night and go up, up, up from there. Use hotels.com, hotwire, expedia etc for hotel rooms.
