A very sad day for Army Aviation, not only was there the Blackhawk crash but an Apache crashed the same day in Korea killing both pilots. 6 Aviators died in one day, truly a sad day.

In the lobby of the Soldier Services Center at Ft. Rucker there is a board that holds the names of those Aviators that have lost their lives, there are far too many names on that board. We forget sometimes in the midst of celebrating scholarships, appointments, branching and commissioning, the dangerous nature of the work our children have entered into. God bless all those that serve. Having two sons in Aviation, it's something I now never forget.

Prayers for these aviators and their families.
