I have a 26E, 29M, 33S, but only a 22R. That reading is deemed uncompetitive to USAFA. If I can raise my reading I will then be 3Q. I have my nomination, and only need this reading to be at least a 25 to be okay. The test is tomorrow and I am stressing out. Any tips and help will be greatly appreciated..!

Get a good night's sleep. The test is tomorrow, cramming will not help.

Good Luck!

Only way to really be ready for act reading is understanding the types of questions asked by taking practice tests or having good comprehension skills by spending more time reading, but it's a little late for either. But hey if your science is that high you have some pretty good comprehension skills, my best tip is focus on blazing through passages. Don't get hung up on a sentence or two because it will burn your time up. If it takes more than 30 seconds to think of the right answer to the question, skip it and come back to it after answering all the questions involved with the passage. Other than that, get some rest, wake up early and eat something light but nutritious, drink some coffee and get ready to ace the ACT

So I did not do well at all on the reading section. I was stressing during the entire test and know I did not get the score I want. Does this mean because I did not reach the minimum reading score that I am disqualified? I am medically qualified and have my nomination. I'm so mad at myself.

I don't think I would worry too much until you actually get the score. Have you taken the SAT?

I agree with Sam. You don't have the score back so don't stress. Start prepping for a retake now. Score are available online so as soon as they come back, if you do not get 24+ sign up for the next SAT and the Feb ACT. Get a tutor who will focus on just ACT reading - if you can't afford one talk to your English teacher at school for suggestions. You have 7-8 weeks before the Feb test to work on it. All you need is 2 or 3 more questions correct than last time. Good idea to retake the tests anyways to potentially improve in all areas Just my opinion.

The Feb ACT is too late for the class of 2020, so is the next SAT.

I cannot retake anymore. The 22 is what I'm stuck with. Does this mean there is no chance?

Hey, don't stress about it, you don't even know what you got for this last one! I found that when I thought I had done well I actually didn't do as well and when I thought I choked I did really well, especially on the reading portion. Don't give up yet until you get the final verdict.
