Michigan Candidates

My DS has received two nominations in Michigan. Neither of which have shown up in his portal. (12/8,12/18) The other senator has told a candidate that they aren't nominating until Jan. 31. Will the others wait to submit their slates until then? Has anyone's portal updated yet? He has an LOA, so we are just waiting for his nomination to show for him to get an offer of appointment, hopefully. I know I need to be patient.

My DD just found nomination in portal. It's a happy day in our house here. It shows it was received the 17th. Still waiting to hear on one other nomination, but I guess for now we are counting our blessings. It sure is fun watching your kids dreams come true!

I'm from Michigan as well and received two nominations from my Rep. Can you tell me which senator it was that is waiting until Jan. 31?
 
Should my DS call the offices his nominations are coming from to see if they have given their slate to the Academy? It has almost been a month since the first one and nothing in the portal yet.
 
Hi Everyone :) Thus far my son has received a dual nomination (Naval Academy and West Point) from Tim Walberg. We are still waiting on Peters office :) Also we heard from his BGO with The Naval Academy and he already knew of our sons nomination.

That's great!!! Congratulations!! Today we go and he has his medical. Good luck with everything.
 
Today we had our BGO visit/interview. After he submits his write up my son"s application is complete and we wait. :)
 
Any updates in the portal yet? DS is waiting to call until next week. We realize they have until the 31st, but is it possible for them to forget to submit their slates? If that happens, do the kids lose their nominations because they weren't entered in time?
 
Updates on the visit??? I believe his portal is all up to date except the BGO interview because it has't been entered yet. our BGO is very adamant about getting it in right away. Not sure about what happens if their application isn't submitted on time - great question
 
ok checked his portal and it is complete except for the BGO interview which I ma sure will be in asap. :)
 
Our son got a nomination from Gary Peters office! He just checked his portal and it was there. That gives him one from Walberg and one from Peters. He also saw that his application is now complete and submitted!!

Congratulations to your DS! Once I saw this I frantically checked my portals and I got nominated for USMA. Between Peters and my MOC, that makes 1 nominations for each academy.
 
Did Peters send out emails or letters? Or did he just submit his slate? Congrats to all who have received their nominations!!!
