Hi, I am going to a SMC (Virginia Tech) and have just received the DODMERB medical history and information forms. I am still awaiting a response for my scholarship so I am really confused to why I got this stuff. I was under the impression that I should only get these forms after getting an ROTC scholarship. Do you guys think that Virginia Tech is just using the same forms as DODMERB to simplify things or am I missing something here? Thanks a lot guys.

Have you checked your portal to see if it says winner? If you are a winner, I wonder what happened to your letter and why no local ROTC unit has contacted you?
Searching Virginia Tech, Corps of Cadets, Medical Forms revealed the following:

So if the forms arrived from Virginia Tech, then that is what it is. If they cam from DoDMERB, then I would really examine every possible tab on the scholarship site to see if you missed something. If you applied to an academy, it is possible that they ordered a DoDMERB exam.
