I won't sugar coat it, your GPA could be an issue, that's not to say the rest of your application won't carry you. A lot will depend on your school selections as well.

Remember, you can still join ROTC without a scholarship, do well and compete for a campus scholarship.

Don't give up hope yet but always have a Plan B in your back pocket.

Best of luck.

+1 Jcleppe

GPA is tough. Decent SAT though.
What ROTC schools are you seeking scholarship for?
You might have a shot at a 3 year AD. 4 year is a long shot.

Here is the deal, if you don't receive the AROTC scholarship, beg, borrow (don't steal) your way to the most affordable state college Army ROTC program as a non-contract/non-scholarship cadet. Then hustle and get the best grades possible, max the APFT and earn a 3 year advanced designee scholarship by impressing the ROO and PMS. This is the route my DS took.

Thank you for the responses. @gokings814, I am planning to go to either the Citadel or Appalachian state in North Carolina. I had major problems in Junior year where I bit off more than I could chew when I decided to enroll into 4 AP Classes. My study habits weren't suited for those classes, and dropped my Unweighted GPA down quite a bit. And I will consider your option as well. Sounds like a good Plan B whether or not I am not accepted.

Are you an in-state resident in NC or SC?
