First wave of BFE's?

That's awesome! You should ask if he remembers the girl that was with Natalie back in October (I know it was a Monday because I went to the Bible study they had after practice too). @mom3boys
 
My son received an offer of appointment. He was told it was coming on Wednesday by his RC at West Point, then Yesterday his FFR emailed him congratulating him, after seeing it on his (the FFR's) portal. Then this morning the FFR emailed him telling my son he was supposed to wait till Monday to congratulate because the MOC wanted to pass on the news, so he told my son to act surprised. lol
 
DD received notification today from our MOC congratulating her on her appointment. He did not indicate when the BFE would be arriving, nor when her portal would update but based on the flurry of activity on this board it must be soon!

Yes, happens all the time. If you have an LOA or are the highest in your district. One nom is all anyone is required to have...the rest is up to you--sort of. =)
 
I received a BFE today off of the presidential nomination and did not have an LOA. I was definetly surprised to hear back so early!

Yes! You only need one nomination to get appointment. I learned from this forum that about 100 kids from presidential nom get appointment.

where are you located?

NJ-7th district, incidentally for all those who are hoping and praying, my son did not have an LOA either.
 
I'm in GA and haven't gotten one. Most likely will be here tomorrow or Monday. (Moc called yesterday)
 
My DS got a phone call and the BFE in the mail today. NJ 07. Didn't have an LOA, just an LOE. Wasn't expecting this at all today. Makes the snowstorm a lot easier to weather!

So I applied to all service academies but sought USAFA for my congressional nominations. This is because I didn't get into USNA's summer program and actually got denied SLE for WP but ended up being pulled of the waitlist minute. I thought USAFA was my best shot at first.
I had presidential nominations to USAFA, USNA, USMA. I got into USNA in October on the presidential and USMA today on the presidential. So far, I know I have Senator Menendez's nomination to USAFA.
I also applied for the ROTC programs. So far I have the following four year scholarship:
Villanova (AF), Cornell (Navy), and Princeton and William and Mary (Army). I'm waiting to hear back if I got into the schools.

Act 31: English and Reading= 34; Math and Science=28 [I took it twice and super scored]
