Hello everyone,

I have two 3Q letters. Has anyone received more than one or more 3Q letters this year
or the past years and receive/ed an appointment? The first one was before the nomination and the second one was after the nomination.

Cheers,

Don't know why they would send it twice, unless either a clerical error, or, if you somehow became unqualified in one area after being originally qualified. For example, if you were deemed medically qualified by dodmerb but then subsequently got injured in a way which disqualified you medically. Then your injuries healed fully, and you requalified. I suppose the same could happen with grades, but that would be far less likely.

Otherwise, my guess is someone in admissions just forwarded it twice. I wouldn't worry about it if you are 3 q.

I don't think he's worried, he just wants to know if he's a shoe in.

Until you have a BFE I would not count my chickens.

And your name indicates parenthood. What's up with that?

The 3Q letter says "......West Point has eliminated rolling admissions for this cycle. As such, all qualified applicants are place on a National Waiting List until appointments are made........"

Does that mean the candidate did not "win the district"?

I don't think so. The letter means that you're qualified, which means that you're in the game.
