Hey guys,
I am currently a sophomore in high school and I have an unweighted GPA of 3.6. I go to a really competitive and rigorous high school and I take Honors and looking to take AP as a junior and senior. I play two sports soccer and outdoor track and field and all at the varsity level. I just got my eagle scout last December and am currently a SSgt in Civil Air Patrol. I am part of the Spanish club, outdoor adventure club, and Special Olympic support club in my school. If there is anything else I could possibly do to improve my resume to get in it would be greatly appreciated. I have wanted to go to USAFA since I was 5. I want to fly in the Air Force and has been a lifelong dream. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Aim for leadership positions - in clubs, school, sports, CAP, everything. Start taking and preparing for ACT/SAT/PSAT right now. With CAP, look for leadership positions at the squadron (Flt/Staff, 1st Sgt) and above (CAC, Encampment Staff, NCSAs). Keep working towards Mitchell and maybe pursue flight training through CAP either local or at a Flight Academy. Build up some volunteer hours if possible - even better create your own project/program and do it for the next 2 years. PM for more details on CAP opportunities

Well, sure, you have a chance!

The only way you have no chance is if you do not apply.

Practice taking the SAT/ACT, then crush it next year!

Please pay special attention to those posts where long-time posters discuss those aspects of "a really competitive and rigorous high school."
