Congratulations to those who have received an appointment for the 2020 class. My son has completed his application and is waiting patiently. His profile shows that he is DODMERB qualified and passed on his CFA. His ACT score is above the top 75% according to the scores I have researched. Does the USMMA send out letters to inform the applicant that they are tripled qualified? He has a nomination for USMMA, USNA, and USMA. Thanks for your help.

Congrats on all the nominations! My DD received a phone call from USMMA! Totally made her day.

The phone call was for an appointment. I certainly feel your pain concerning the wait. Our family, and probably yours also, started this journey a year ago.

Yes, just like so many others....he finished his app in early Oct. Nice to know that KP makes the call sometimes. I know that my son would LOVE to talk to them. It's so hard to watch him come home, check the email, check the portal, HOLD! It's become a little game for us :) Some days we chuckle but most days we sigh...and then move on

Mine just finished his application in January. I think because he was waiting to send in his 7th semester grades with his application. Hope you get your answer soon

Hang in there. Notification can also depend on what state you are applying from and how competitive it is. DS is current class if 2019, and one states are more competitive than others. DS says they haven't had any students from VT in 5 years. Not sure if it is true or a rumor, but would probably bode well for qualified candidates from that state. We are from New England so kids try to find other students from their area so he probably has it right.

It seems like there was a flurry of appointments made late Dec/January and it's been quiet ever since. Will there be a round in February? Then March etc? I would imagine that they wait until the app deadline before they send out the bulk.

The bulk will start mid-March and continue into early May. Yes VT has been difficult to find applicants. If you are qualified and have a nomination in VT, seems like a slam dunk.

DS is a member of class of 2019. It did seem that there was a wave of appointments Dec/Jan and then some more late Feb early March. This is a great site with lots of great advice. Probably the most important advice I got for this site was that the appointment was the easy part let the roller coaster ride begin!! So true and so hard to believe when you are there. But believe it appointment is only the beginning... And as parents it is hands off listen and support and cross your fingers a lot!!! Howeve I truly believe that if your DS/DD wants this they will make it happen and be stronger God their trials and tribulations. Best if luck and please resize acceptance is just the beginning.

If everything was turned in around the time of this post, check the online application for updated status. Mine reads Principal Fully Qualified which means I got the appointment but I have yet to receive the package. You could always email the admissions email address asking for the person who is handling your application because they know exactly what is going on with it. I did so and he gave me verbal confirmation as well before my online status changed.
