I spoke with admissions today, was told mail is on its way for many people this week. Then went to the mail box, thin envelope has arrived in MD...There are also good news in the mail according to USCGA...so here's hoping for all of you still waiting! Brace yourselves...letters are in the mail! ( I think...)
DS is headed to USNA very exciting news for me!!! He will be close to home, wahoo!!!
All the best!:thumb:

CONGRATS, SHELLZ! :thumb:

I am very happy for you and your son, I know the wait has been long, much longer than most people as your son is a repeat applicant.

Welcome to the CGA "family."

2,431 hours until R-Day.

It feels good to have the envelope in hand. He is calling grandma right now. Hope she's sitting down!

Off to share the news. So proud and happy right now.

Will not be leaving this forum anytime soon. It has been such a place of comfort and encouragement! Will be praying for those waiting. Good news is coming!!!

congrats!!

Congrats on BIG envelope CA - can only imagine the waiting as repeat!
as for pmlutton - I say CONGRATS to son for usna! We are still waiting here - no evelopes - read on site about the "no offer" letter from usna going out - caught me by surprise - now look for mail more cautiously for sure!
ENJOY - all of you - am truely glad!

Thanks Larry....are you waiting for CGA and USNA? Will put you on the prayer list for sure. The list is long, but God's got all night.

Thank you Larry! We are very excited that he can now get on with things!
Congratulations Shellz!!!! WAHOOOO!!!!

Larry has his heart set on usna - dont know how he feels about uscga - particularly as the days go on.
I am envious of "Getting on" - when Larry got the waiver in late december, guess I thought he would hear -usna, as for uscga - dodmerb status date has changed 2x - late feb and again march 11 - still no envelope - so have no clue.
we will sit and wait - THANK GOODNESS crew is in full swing - Larry is busy and classes are piling on more work than ever, so he is busy and has been confident thru this past year - boatmates are starting to get word from colleges - so think this past week for first time he is realizing that he hasn't heard yet. thanks for thinking of us, linda

Linda,
I feel your pain. We went through that last year. Don't be discouraged as many many kids heard in late March and even up until May.
My son does crew as well. Maybe they will be teammates. I will keep praying!

My daughter's waiver changed too twice.... We've got our fingers crossed for CGAS paperwork to arrive before our next weeks visit to USMMA...

I am so excited for Shellz... silly lady almost had me crying...ohh but Patty did that too when they got that big ole USNA letter!!!
I love the friends I have made here!!!!!

Great news!!!!

I have been reading and monitoring this forum since Jan. 09, anxiously waiting for the Big White envelope to arrive. Well it finally came today in MD. My son will be attending the CGA Scholar Program. I have learned alot of valuable information from this site and I would like to thank the other parents. I was on pins, needles and praying every day. I am now releived and my son is so happy for the beginning of another chapter in his life. I said I would not post a reply until I know for sure he would be accepted.

Thanks,

Congrats to Shellz and son! And to others who have heard about CGAS or other academies. You are starting a great ride, albeit one with some bumps along the way. :thumb:

For the CGA people, go to the parents web site and sign up for the Class of 2013 list serv. Go to www.uscgaparents.org It's a great help to the parents during these busy three months heading up to R-day.

Luigi59,
