Recently finished all of my medical exams and my status on DoDMETS has changed from incomplete to complete-hold. Is this a bad thing? And how do I deal with waivers? I checked off and explained my allergies and single-time, experimental marijuana usage. Will a waiver automatically be requested or is there something else I must do on my end?

Thank you

Neither DoDMETS nor DoDMERB executes waivers. DoDMETS only schedules the exams, labs and analysis. DoDMERB reviews the results and determines whether you are qualified or DQ. If DQ, the SA admissions office determine whether to put you forward for a waiver. (For ROTC you only do DoDMERB if you've been awarded a scholarship.). The SA and ROTC waiver authorities decide whether a waiver should be granted.

Sounds like you are at the beginning of the process. Keep checking your DoDMETS and DoDMERB portals. That will tell you if you are qualified or if they need more information. Follow the codes and the instructions they send you. If you have questions you can email or call your DoDMETS or DoDMERB POCs. Phone numbers and email are on their portals.

The DoDMETS "Complete-Hold" usually means that the applicant has finished his/her exams, however when DoDMETS (Concorde) was reviewing the file before sending the results over to DoDMERB, there is a piece of information missing on one of the exams. My DS had this happen - in our case the eye doctor did not fill out one of the questions. We called Concorde and they told us this. Concorde then reaches out to the doctor to get the info so that the file can be "Completed" and then sent to DoDMERB. My suggestion is to call Concorde and find out why there is a complete-hold on the file....they will tell you. They will allow you to also reach out to the particular doctor to encourage them to hurry the process along. Good luck.

We had this also a few years ago. Called Concorde, the lady searched the papers in the pile to find my sons and determined that one of the pages had not faxed. Called the Dr and they re-faxed the whole thing.

Same thing happened to my DS. It was as explained above. The doc didn't send all the paperwork. In our case it took several weeks and many phone calls to get it all submitted. Concorde can tell you generally what's missing and who to call about it.

My sons Dodmets says complete. Will the status change to Qualified or let me know if anything is needed or is it posted somewhere else?

I just went through this last week. It said Complete-hold. I called DODMETS. The dr didn't write Resolved on a minor injury from childhood. I called the dr and it was fixed in a day. Then it said Complete. DODMETS said that a second reviewer would then look it over to make sure everything was there. One day later, that was done. ---- now I'm waiting on DODMERB, but their site is apparently down. ---- also, the DODMETS site will not show Qualified. It will redirect you to login to DODMERB where it will be reviewed again. DODMETS/Concorde merely acts as an information gatherer, not a decision maker.
