You have a well rounded application, nobody can say with any accuracy what your chances are except to say that many with stats equal to yours have received scholarships. A lot will depend on how competitive the applications are for those that have listed the same schools.

Best of luck on the next board.

Thanks, I realize at this point it's just a waiting and hoping game. I guess I thought posting something here would help ease the nervousness

That's what this board is for. Ask away, there is a lot to learn and a lot of good information on ROTC and the process on this board. Again best of luck to you.

Duck, your stats look similar to my DS. He got a 3 year. Good luck and stay strong throughout your senior year. Don't slack off! My DS took summer classes which helped lighten his fall and spring load so he can keep a good college GPA. Also, busy kids don't have time for parties that could mess up your future as an Army officer.;)

flying duck,

What state are you from? I am going to guess MD since you have both UMDCP and UMBC, plus Loyola.

My DS went to UMDCP as an AFROTC scholarship recipient. AROTC is the larger of the 2 host ROTC units (NROTC is not a host unit at UMDCP). My point is that UMDCP is a flagship college for MD, and additionally OOS students from states like PA and NJ flock to UMDCP. It maybe at this point that there is no room at the inn for the scholarship by the Mar. board. AROTC does a number allocation per unit. If I recall correctly from years ago UMDCPs EA decisions should have come out by now for admission, and now they are down to RDs. Which goes back to the fact that there might not be any room available for UMDCP.
~ If you go to UMBC are they a host or will you have to do xtown, and if so where will your host unit be? UMDCP?
~~ It is something to think about because traveling to UMDCP from Baltimore will not be fun.

My guess is they will use your ACT composite since that is a 27 which would be a 1220 SAT.
UMDCP has already posted their stats for fall 2016.
Fall 2016 admitted freshman profile:
GPA: 4.21
SAT middle 50%: 1260-1420
ACT middle 50%: 29-33
IS to OOS student ratio is 80 to 20% for admissions, thus those stats will vary from your own perspective (IS vs OOS)

Not trying to be a downer, but just so you can see if that is their avg admission stats, UMDCP might be a low reach.

My very best hopes, thoughts and wishes.

I think you have a great shot at the scholarship.
You may want to reconsider having Georgia Tech on that list though.. with a 3.44 gpa and your act/sat, pigs would have to fly for you to be accepted. Just being realistic.
You may want to swap that college with another option. That way if you are given a scholarship and your option 4 is one of your choices.. you'll actually be able to get in.

If you wait until the third board the schools on your list better be ones you are serious about, and have applied to. When that third round offer comes there won't be a lot off time to start scrambling, and the transfer process is not a guarantee.

Thank you all for your feedback, I have applied to all of the school and currently have been accepted to West Virginia university, university of Colorado, and Arizona state. Should I move those three schools to the top 3 on the school of intent list? I'll find out my Georgia tech decision by March 12th, and the rest a little after.

I applied for the second board and our credentials are almost the same. However... I DID NOT receive a scholarship and I am salty about it, and my processing officer is through the roof mad because he had previous told me that there was no way in hell I wouldn't get one, and has no clue as to why I didn't receive one. You never, ever, ever, ever, are sure if you will get one or not, all of the major officials in the process I talked to said I'd get one, and kids with far worse credentials got some (according to my processing officer), its all up to the board, maybe one board member was having a terrible day and didn't like how I worded part of my personal statement and that was a deal breaker for him/her, you never really know. For right now I would stop worrying or being nervous about it and not worry about the results, even if you don't get one, you can still do ROTC and commission active duty or reserve or NG.
Take what I'm saying with a grain of salt, I just thought I would share this to show you a different side of things. I'm sure you are a great kid and will do great things in life.
Remember, your career as an Officer does not rely on the scholarship, it may help with college payments, or look good to your peers, but if you don't get one, you will go into your college's ROTC program with a chip on your shoulder and determined to prove yourself and prove the board messed up for not picking you. Also keep in mind, almost all ROTC programs have 2 or 3 year campus based scholarship awarded to those after their first year who prove they deserve one.

Sometimes it's not about the journey, but that you reach your destination.

I am sure you realize, however from your post you didn't acknowledge it so I will remind you, it is not over. You have not yet completely NOT received one, you are just now on the list for the third board. Here is a hypothetical, let's say they gave out 1000 during the second board, and your number was 1001, it is likely that given they typically give out a large quantity 3rd board and not as many new applicants that you would still receive one. There is no way to know where you are at on the list, but it is possible there is still a scholarship with your name on it. At the end of the day the body of scholsrships are given out over three time periods and you still have one left. Don't be salty quite yet. You are right however that if that does still not work out w campus based is still a possibility.
