My DS account has been stated for CCEB review for about two weeks but we received our DODMERB stuff in the mail before Christmas. I think it is different for every person but I can tell you that we just got word from our admissions officer last week that they review based on when your application was submitted. Others had said it went by region but apparently that is not the case, they review based on submission. Our admissions officer just told us soon and did not give a day or week. The waiting is the worst part.
That's interesting. I got my dodmerb stuff in the mail about 2 weeks ago, and completed both parts of the dodmerb 1 week ago, and my *for review* part of the application has not been checked off yet. Anyone else like that?I would think they are extremely busy.
Have you signed on to your account and reviewed you're status?
I believe ds's stated *for review* on his account then we received his DODMERB in the mail a few weeks later. It's now all inaccessible since he's in the middle of that process and no changes can be made probably.
No he was not early action. He got his DODMERB stuff way before he hit the submit button on his application. He had several things uploaded but he did not submit the actual application until January 12th. He did go to AIM during the summer and made a good showing there. Maybe that had something to do with it.He was early action then?
See - it appears to me there is no rhyme or reason on the whole DODMERB thing. It could also be the region in which they are in. Maybe each admissions officer submits their stuff differently for medical. Who knows. Good luck to everyone.DS uploaded as he compiled, submitted with in the first 2 weeks of Jan, and was also an AIM'ster.
The waiting is difficult, but he's also working on Plan A- Plan Z ha ha so he's staying focused on other things, plus school work and now track has started.
Yeah that is really strange. I do not have an answer for you, however, I know the final day for DoDMERB is March 15, so if he has not received any info regarding scheduling his DoDMERB then that certainly is troubling. Depending on the clinics you go to it can take quite a while to get a physical scheduled. So if I were your DS, I would call his admission officer ASAP. Do not email them, make sure you get them on the phone. The officer I have has been very slow getting back with me over emails, and I am even awaiting a response or two right now. You do not have much time.My DS is an engineering major at Univ. of Houston and is an AFROTC student. His AF officers thought he would be competitive for 3 year AFROTC scholarship so they put his name up for consideration last fall. He was asked to take his DoDMERB in November and he just submitted his final remedial requirement Friday.
Yet for USCGA, my DS submitted his application in mid December, we flew up to New London in early January for a great campus visit where he met with the band director and a coach. Since we were the only one taking the tour that day, the officer in charge that day gave my DS his Admissions Interview He retook his SAT 1/23, giving him a super score of: CR 630, M 650 and W 640. He also got a 31 Math ACT. Yet, unlike other RA applicants, his status page still shows "submitted," but not "application complete." On his application page it also just says "submitted." It's like his file is in limbo.
Since this is 3 weeks after the SAT scores have been received by CGA, is this status typical for it being almost March 1 for RA? It seems like there would be at least a movement to indicate the 2 person review board is the next step.
Don't know if we should be taking 6 weeks no status movement as a negative or if this may be more of a first in/first out processing. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks
