Hello all from the state of Washington, I am new to these forums, but active in related Facebook groups and our state's USNA Parent club. I hope to be a part of this community and learn something while I offer my insight and support.

Welcome to the forums! Being involved in a states' parent club is one of the best things that you can do to stay really connected with other parents who will understand what you're experiencing.

So true! Parents club are such a worthwhile experience and a great way to pay it forward to new SA parents. I simply love the sense of community.

Parent's Clubs are great. Get as involved as you can (picnics, lunches, dinners) and have your Mid show up during the Summer, if they are available, to answer questions for the new to become Plebes. We always had a lunch at the Capitol Building for all newly appointed USNA. DD was introduced at one meeting as a current graduate and there was a loud OORAH from the back of the room. It was her BGO. Every one had a good laugh except DD.
