Hey how is everyone doing with their NCAA brackets, anyone still have a perfect one? I'm 14-2 with (clemson/michigan and illinois/w. kent. incorrect)

Well, after a pretty decent Thursday (14-2), I just got crushed on Friday (11-5), for a first round total of 25-7. Dang ACC, going 0-3 yesterday! And these were all teams I had making the sweet 16 -- OUCH!

In the bracket challenge I participate in, each first round correct answer is worth a point. Second round is worth 2 points. So there is at least 6 points I flushed down the tubes. I've only lost one Elite 8 team so far (worth 4 points), so I still have an outside shot of claiming ultimate Bracket domination in the office pool, complete with bragging rights for the next year.

On the lighter side, at least I'm doing better than Pima and DS...

I'm with you 25-7 and I have 12 of my Sweet 16 teams still left as of this morning.

On ESPN's Bracket Challenge I am in the 90.5 percentile, solidly in 441,734th place!

I went 14-2 the first day as well - now I am 25/32.
The ACC has truly failed me - I picked Clemson, BC and Wake to win. ugh.
I did pick Siena to win though!

On Yahoo Sports I am in the 91 percentile and 219287/510222.
We'll see how the second round goes.

Ya, I thought I had a decent bracket but when wake forest lost I was screwed, don't ask why but I had wake in the final four :frown:

LITS - you said Frozen Four - so Yes, Frozen Four. Is today selection day?
I haven't followed college hockey all year. I just love that name "Frozen Four" - it is so cool.

texan101 - I think we have the same picks!
I am now 32/40 which isn't so bad but I did pick BC to win a couple of games and Wake in the Final Four. I also picked WVa to get to the Elite Eight. My Midwest bracket is completely destroyed but my West bracket is completely intact.

Improved my chances yesterday, going eight for eight in picking the teams heading for the Sweet 16. Today will be a different story, as three of the Sweet 16 teams I predicted for today lost in the first round (OUCH! Dang you again, ACC!)

25 correct in Round 1 = 25 points
8 correct in Round 2 (so far) = 16 points (so far) (2 points per each correct pick)*

Total = 41 points

* in my office's bracket Challenge, you get 1 point for each correct pick in the first round (32 games), 2 for each correct pick in the Second Round (16 games), 4 points for Sweet Sixteen picks (8 games), 8 points for Elite Eight picks (4 games), 16 points for your Final Four winners (2 games) and 32 points if you correctly pick the National Champs (32 points per round, 192total points possible)

I'm not sure either. There's no real way for me to watch college hockey in DC, but this is the location for the Frozen 4, so I bought a couple of tickets. If I could follow college hockey, I would....but I can't. There are some great NHL prospects on these teams though.

In the future instead of just typing an arrow, I would quote the post you're responding to, to avoid any confusion, especially while there are multiple discussions going on. :thumb:

Well, ended the day with 13 of 16 correct for the Sweet Sixteenm, 52 points so far. I'll have to wait unitl tomorrow to see if any one else in the office is ahead. My final Four is still intact, so I havea fighting chance...

Never thought I'd say this, but COME ON CAROLINA! :shake:

Is Pitt still in? I can't find out any info. We saw them play a couple times this year - they were one coordinated machine.

All 4 top seeds are still in the mix. I have Pitt falling to NC in the Final Four. Memphis over Louisville in the other match-up.

I'm 10-6 for the sweet 16, not so good.

hey bullet using your point system i have 47 points, what do you have?

Pitt is still in it but shaky. They play Xavier next.

I am 11 for 16 in the sweet 16 - my final four is messed up as I had picked Wake. Overall I am 36 out of 48.

I was ticked also because I had Wake beating Louisville.

It will be interesting becuse Bullet is beating me in pts right now, but neither of us have the ssame going all the way ...he has Louisville and Duke. I have KS and UNC. I think we both UConn and UNC in the finall four.

Bullet's office is laughing because I was number 4 out of 8 and so they tease the other guys that they are losing to a women. Bullet makes sure he adds into the mix on how I pick...I pick by gut feeling and if I have a connection (i.e. lived in NC, so I chose Wake over Cleveland). I only look at the numbers if I have no connection.

Okay so I only have UConn and UNC left...no chace of winning b/c I had KS beating UNC. HOWEVER, the joke in the family is I am 1 pt ahead of Bullet and DS. I pick my teams from places we lived at or connections..i.e UCONN: I am originally from NJ, PITT: Bullet's cousin went there, KS: lived there, UNC: lived there. Sad part I went to college in Philly I should have picked NOVA for that reason or the fact we say we live in NoVa (Northern Virginia)

So I can't wait until he gets home today and find out how much crap he got at work about me beating him. BTW I was in the middle of the pack on Friday b4 this weekend. Guys were being teased about being beaten by a woman. They also were joking that I could win it all if KS won this weekend. OH WELL!

He can still beat me since he has UNC winning it all, but for no I am just LOL that a monkey can probably pick as well as anybodt else. Seriously, for the brackets I am no smarter than the MONKEY:shake:
