Admissions Contact

I talked to my coach yesterday, he was one of the people I put down(with phone number) for verification of my varsity athletics, and he said that he had not been contacted by anyone from admissions. This makes me wonder if CGA admissions really goes that far and calls your coaches and people like that. It does not matter to me whether they call him or not, but if they were going to I assume that it would be too late for them to call now, given that the board has already been meeting. Anybody here had admissions call your coaches or other person you put down on your application yet?

BTW I applied RA.
 
I wouldn't put too much emphasis on that as I'm sure Admissions can't or don't have the time to call every single persons contact. With time differences, school in session, and if it's the season for that sport being after school. ...quite impossible IMO. I'm sure they are going off of HONOR....;);) ?

One of my ds varsity track coaches is also a personal friend and she would of mentioned something to us if she was contacted.

Just let things fall as they may.

That is just what I expected.
 
DS did recently get an email from Asst Football coach, looks like a form letter... asking for highlight film, etc.
As my DS is not a standout football player and only played his Jr and Sr year, we are far far far from having any highlight films!
LOL, my point being is that they do seem to be inquiring. My guess is that his application is complete and he is DoDMERB qualified, and he checked YES next to the application questions of whether he would consider playing his sports at the academy. I think an automated email went out to all qualified applicants that also checked yes next to the football sport box... just my guess... I suppose that if they needed to contact you for more info they would probably do it via email first...

You guess that your DS is Dodmerb qualified?
 
My guess is that because he checked yes, he got an email. He was DoDMERB qualified last year... just my poor sentence structure...
