NROTC Board Results

Has anyone heard if they were selected from the last NROTC board that had a probable update around 11 March?
 
DS has not heard anything. His application was completed early February so if it was boarded it would have been late in the cycle.
 
DS has not heard anything yet. Portal still says, "No decision has been made..."

His app was complete first week in January.
 
DD was turned down, not totally surprised as she was very late and only in for the final board.

I have a question for you if you know. Does the portal still have the instructions at the bottom for changing school choices? Thanks!

Just looked and the directions on how to request a change to college choices/order no longer exists on the portal (at least for my DS).

It does not. Status is still "no decision has been made on your application"

Interesting. Wonder what loosing that selection means? Maybe an award is pending. Can only hope.

Yeah, the portal for my DS changed last week to remove those directions as well. Hope your DS receives good news this week.

The portal for my DS also changed that way. Let's hope it means good news! Best of luck.

This will be an exciting weekend. Most of my DS schools will be notifying him on their decisions. And hopefully a NROTC scholarship.
 
I think the school change thing is off because it's simply too late in the process. I think if you are awarded a scholarship though, you can always request a transfer
 
For those that got a decision, what time of day did the email and portal update come?

Sorry I just have to laugh. What time of day!!! I set my alarm to check my DS portal. Decisions come out at 3 PM. I thought I was obsessed.
 
Wow. Guess I should have explained I would be comm-out for a camping trip for a week. Now I remember why I normally don't use blogs.

Oops, I'm confused. Did decisions come out today at 3 PM?
 
Just on edge waiting for decisions like many of us. Blogs are great. You can read text so many different ways. Decisions did not come out at 3 pm.

One of the best things about going camping is that the world around just shuts down. No internet no cell phones and no tv. Just enjoy the sounds of nature and that smokey smell from the campfire that follows you into your tent after a great day.

Sorry for the rambling.

So does the applicant get an email that tells them they got the scholarship or does the email tell the applicant to check the portal? I'm just trying to figure out if there is no email, there's no need to check the portal? Thank you for any clarification anyone can offer.
