Accepted to VMI!

Got my letter of appointment today! I'm from southern california and I would love to hear from anyone else that got accepted.
Congrats! My DD has been accepted too, although she's waiting to hear about NROTC scholarship for VMI or Citadel and is still waiting to hear from USNA.

VMI is absolutely amazing, we just got back from DD having an overnight there!

You guys should consider starting an acceptance thread like was done for AROTC 2nd board: Format should be something like below:
#. //Avatar//DS or DD//where you are from//which ROTC you plan to participate in// you can add if you plan to play NCAA or a Club-level sport

Example
1. ProudDad, DS, Fairfax, VA, NROTC,
2. Trooper, DD, Wilmington, NC, ROTC undecided,
3. Sonny, DS, Morgantown, WV, AROTC,
4. Lil' Miss, DD, Pittsburgh, PA, Marine,
Example

With each new addition, each new poster just highlight and "right click" and "copy" the entire list, paste it into your text area, and then add your particulars to be the next in line -- no need to "quote"

I was going to go to VMI but I figured it's too late to apply. I sent my stuff in a couple days ago but decided against completing the recommendations and what not simply because I felt like it would take to long to get there. And I have no ROTC scholarship

Pretty sure the deadline to apply was 1 Feb....

LurkerKing -- EOD/SEALmom is correct. Deadline for submission of application for regular admission was 1 Feb.

VMI gets around 2000 "on-time" apps each year for 500 slots. There are many candidates on the wait list awaiting an appointment hoping someone with an appointment to VMI will get the SA appt and cancel their appt with VMI to free up a slot.

Ok I didn't realize it was that close to the deadline. I called them up after finding out about my rejection to uscga and they said to go ahead and apply. This was on Monday but I have sense decided to not apply since it is so late.
