Anyone else out there checking their CIS or these forums constantly now? I heard of other parents doing this and I always thought that that wouldn't be me. Few weeks later I feel glued to checking every two hours...

The wait has been and still is on..

Complete Pending Review

Someone on the FB Candidate forum stated that the Complete Pending Review is equivalent to CPR! How true! Yes, I am part of that distinguished list as well. I typically check at the beginning of the day, at lunch and at the end of the day. But as long as CPR is still in order and there's no TWE.. I'm ok. Hang in there, everyone!

Not sure if this will help but it seemed like most changes were early in the morning (I'm on the West Coast), so if you can bear it maybe just check in the mornings...or mornings and end of the day. Now that the wait is over I check the forum way too much...

We received our email not offering an appointment around 8-9am West Coast time on a Tuesday morning (3/8). Still awaiting notification from West Point, but my understanding is that will probably come via snail mail.

Know what you mean! I am on 6-7 times per day! Hoping all the work my DS put in will be noticed:)

GO NAVY, BEAT ARMY!

DS found out about his USMA appointment by checking his portal....So I would check the portal

It's a website, of course they can track if they wanted to, but they don't. Do you really think admissions looks at a portal and decides, hey this kid logged on 48 times and this kid 192, let's give the kid with 192 an appointment? Not how it works, nor do they have the manpower to track this or care.

Or this applicant (or likely parent who would never want them to attribute it to the DS/DD) is obsessive, cross them off and move on!

My son showed me the US Government Warning 'pop-up' he gets every time he logs on to his Portal. By logging on with his lap top or from any computer, he is being tracked and by clicking the block tp proceed into the CIS, he allows his device to be searched if required.

So, yup DS/DD/Parent's devices are truly being tracked.

This is understandable when loging into a US Govt Portal (run by a Contractor)

On the note of being obsessive...I personally heard it from an Admissions Counselors mouth...they get WAY TOO MANY inquiries (phone calls and emails) on candidates' status at this time in the year. It is helpful if you refrain from contacting Admissions (and BGO) if you intend to ask about your status....99.9999% of candidates will know of their status by April 15.

Yeap it pops up a lot when accessing govt sites and on govt machines. Doesn't mean admissions is tracking log ons.

And bgo08 brings up the most important point.

USNA does not data-mine applicants, they have enough to do.

For the record, all SA visits to Log-in are recorded (tracked).Whenever a device visits a Govt website (as each device has a unique identifier ) what gets left to be track or recorded also depends on the security configuration of the device + the type of initial network used to get it 'there' + a bunch of other geek stuff.

Each visit to the CIS is most definitely recorded on a log that is stored by some entity. Stored in Utah? .....hmm....probably not.
