What are some popular video games for incoming SA candidates/appointees?

Was playing World of Warcraft, but I like owning people now with Dragunov on CoD4...

I really want a Dragunov, it'd scare the hell out of terrorists I'm sure...

BAMF gun, I say.

While I was at the Academy, Counter Strike was a big game (at least early on). One guy actually created a level that looked exactly like the barraks, really unbelievable. I never played, but I used to watch my roommate play. I only knew some people by their Counter Strike names, they all played against each other over the network. We were 4/c at the time, so it was an interesting "Release". My best friend and roommate at the academy played FEAR our last semester. Again, I didn't play it, but I was the copilot "watch out for that! over there!"...great time. He got the game from his brother who graduated two years before us and went off to a cutter in the Persian Gulf out of Bahrain.

Then of course, there was the HALO revolution, which extended out into the fleet. I was on a ship which had networked all of their Xboxes. They would play games at night between berthing areas. As guys left the ship, their Halo names were on their plaques.

haha that's awesome.

Halo isn't my thing anymore. The first one was great, the third one was good, and the second one was terrible. I'm currently playing Call of Duty: World at War. Picked up Rainbow 6: Vegas 2 for the first time in a while the other day.

And of course, no good Air Force hopeful would be complete without Ace Combat

Not really into video games much anymore, though. I used to play a lot, but now it really is only a little on the weekends now.

Agreed. I still play Halo Custom Edition. My friends and I emulate LAN over Hamachi and then play really "different" modded multiplayer maps (being able to fly tons of ships, playing with AI, cool weapons, etc.).

Im playing some Tom Clancy's HAWX, F-22 is so awesome to fly, some COD5 and some Killzone 2

On a side note, I used to play Battlefield 1942 on my sponsor parents' computer. I wasn't good, but it was fun.

Battlefield 2142 is probably my favorite online game, just haven't played it in a long time...

What's the rule regarding video games as a 4dig at USAFA? I assume that the issued laptops are not allowed to have games installed on it?

No, Battlefield 2: Modern Combat for PC is AMAZING. Old, but still incredibly fun none the less.

How is HAWX? I was thinking of buying it.

Right now I'm playing Call of Duty: World at War as it is double XP week. But I usually flip back and forth between that and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The whole Call of Duty series is pretty nice. I know at KP I used to play Command & Conquer alot.

Haha nice, I was playing WaW last night too.... Nazi Zombies.

There is nothing more satisfying than killing Nazis or Zombies, but both at the same time... man! What a rush!

Yes, the new map pack is pretty sweet. I must say I am no good at the night one though so usually end up with like 3 kills and 15 deaths.

Why do I feel like Butters in South Park? Everyone wants to kick patootie on World of Warcraft, and all I want to do is hang-out in Boo-Boo Kitty Magical Playland!

Bullet, go buy World of Warcraft, install it on your computer and join the online sensation before we all murder you.

(I don't play WoW, just thought I would make a funny allusion)

BF2MC for pc-Never played it, but heard it was great.

Hawx- So much fun, you get to shoot down PMC pilots over a beautiful map of DC. How much better could it get? haha. I love playing coop with friends, maybe if you would get a ps3 you could join us, we need a 4th wing man...:thumb:

IT IS!! So much harder though! I turned on the electricity for the first time and I accidentally ran through it not even thinking :unhappy:
